A new world. One rule: endure.
Maggie Whitaker arrives with a small group in a place none of them recognize. Their first challenge is immediate: secure shelter before nightfall. Behind the walls of a vineyard estate, they begin to discover that surviving the day is only the beginning.
Huntress Awakened
Maggie Whitaker arrives in an unfamiliar world with a small group of strangers, a walled vineyard estate for shelter, and one immediate objective: survive the night.
The world is governed by a mysterious System that offers classes, skills, quests, and rewards, but little explanation. When Maggie chooses the rare Huntress class, survival becomes more than simply finding food and shelter. She has to learn to fight, understand her new abilities, and help keep the people around her alive as the dangers beyond the walls grow steadily worse.
Huntress Awakened begins Maggie’s journey through a world where progression is earned, mistakes have consequences, and surviving long enough to understand the rules may be the hardest challenge of all.

Briar Ainsley
Briar Ainsley writes high and low fantasy, survival LitRPG, and progression fantasy. Her stories follow ordinary people facing dangerous worlds where every choice matters.
A longtime fan of fantasy, gaming, and worldbuilding, Briar enjoys creating strange worlds and designing the Systems that govern them. She’s especially interested in how those rules shape the lives of the people who have to survive them.
The Huntress series is her current focus. It begins with Huntress Awakened: A Survival LitRPG, following Maggie Whitaker and a small group of strangers trying to survive in a world governed by a mysterious System. Four more Huntress books are already awaiting their final rounds of editing, and Briar is currently working on the next installment, with more planned beyond that.
As the Huntress series continues, Briar also plans to return to some of her earlier fantasy stories, revising them for publication while continuing to develop new adventures for Maggie and the world of Huntress.
When Briar isn’t writing, she can usually be found gaming, spending time with family, or getting lost in a good book.
